The challenge
This compact bathroom had seen better days. The layout felt cramped, with bulky furniture dominating the room and visible boxing to house pipework breaking up the space. The overall look was dated and disjointed, and there was very little practical storage.
The customer wanted a bathroom that not only looked modern, but also made far better use of the available space—cleaner lines, a lighter feel, and a more considered, cohesive design.
The vision
The vision was to completely replan the layout to maximise every inch of the room.
- Conceal all pipework to create uninterrupted, clean lines.
- Use neutral tones to give a greater sense of space and calm.
- Introduce warmth through coloured brassware and carefully chosen accessories.
- Add smart storage without overwhelming the room, keeping surfaces clear and clutter-free.
The goal was a bathroom that felt contemporary, spacious and premium, while still being highly practical for everyday use.

The process
The journey began with a home consultation, allowing us to fully understand how the bathroom was used and where the current layout was falling short. We assessed the existing pipework, furniture and flow of the room, and discussed the customer’s style preferences and priorities.
Next, the customer visited our showroom, where we worked together to create moodboards—pairing tiles, brassware finishes, furniture styles and accessories to bring the new scheme to life. This collaborative stage helped refine the palette of neutral tones, warm metallics and textures that would define the final design.
Once the design was agreed, our own in-house fitting team managed the full installation, ensuring every detail—from the false wall construction to the final tile cuts—matched the agreed vision.
The result
The finished bathroom feels brighter, calmer and far more considered. A cleverly designed half-height false wall now conceals all pipework, instantly tidying the room’s sightlines. This feature also doubles as a practical shelf, providing space for toiletries and accessories without adding bulky furniture.
A slimline freestanding basin unit, paired with a modern vessel basin, introduces valuable storage while maintaining a light, elegant presence in the room. The neutral, warm-toned tiles—used in different sizes and textures—add subtle interest and depth, without overwhelming the space.
Warm bronze brassware and a matching towel rail bring a soft, luxurious contrast to the neutral backdrop, tying the scheme together. Clean lines and a crisp, mitred tile edge complete the premium look, transforming a once outdated bathroom into a stylish, functional sanctuary.
