The challenge
When we first visited Sarah & Chris’ home, their bathroom had served them faithfully for 24 years — but the space was tired, dated, and no longer suited to how they wanted to live. The layout lacked flow, the finishes felt heavy, and the room didn’t offer the sense of comfort or luxury they envisioned.
Their brief was clear: A beautiful, contemporary bathroom with refined detailing, a sense of calm, and a timeless aesthetic that would elevate their home for years to come.
The vision
The design direction centred around creating a space that felt open, serene, and beautifully balanced. Key features they wanted included:
- A spacious, spa‑like layout
- Clean lines, plenty of storage and uncluttered surfaces
- Warm, natural textures
- A statement bath to act as the room’s focal point
- Soft, cohesive tones that would feel relaxing and modern
- Layered lighting sources to create ambience — combining practical task lighting with softer, atmospheric illumination for a calming, adaptable environment
The aim was to blend elegance with everyday practicality, resulting in a bathroom that felt both luxurious and effortlessly usable.
The process
Sarah & Chris began their journey by visiting our showroom, where they explored a wide range of displays and quickly found several products and styles they loved. This helped shape the early design direction and gave them confidence in the materials and finishes they wanted to incorporate.
From there, they continued with our complimentary home measuring service. Once we captured the full dimensions, we designed a layout that would maximise openness, comfort, and visual harmony.
Key design decisions and product selections included:
- Adamsez stone bath & matching Mila basin to create a sculptural centrepiece
- Dansani wall‑hung furniture to enhance floor space and maintain a light, modern feel
- Coalbrook brassware chosen for its rich finish and architectural detailing
- Stokes tiles selected for subtle texture and contemporary calm
- Karndean flooring for warmth, practicality, and seamless continuity throughout the space
Every element was chosen to support the vision of a serene, beautifully balanced bathroom.
The result
What was once a dated, overworked bathroom is now a luxurious retreat — a space defined by quality materials, thoughtful design, and a warm, contemporary aesthetic.
Sarah & Chris were delighted with the transformation. They’ve already:
